April 21 (Reuters) - Oil and gas producer Petrohawk Energy Corp (HK.N) said its first-quarter production rose 58 percent and reiterated its full-year production outlook of 40 percent growth for 2009.
For the first quarter, the company said it produced about 412 million cubic feet equivalentper day (Mmcfe/d), and added it expects second-quarter production between 420 mmcfe/d and 430 mmcfe/d.
Petrohawk added it drilled 165 gross wells, of which 34 were operated, with a success rate of 99 percent.
Earlier on Feb 25, the company, which has a big holding in the Haynesville Shale in west Louisiana, raised its 2009 production target by more than 7 percent.
The company said it would maintain its capital expenditure outlook of $1 billion for 2009.
