India Hot Stocks: Marico extends gains on Q4 performance

MUMBAI, April 22 (Reuters) - The following stocks were on the move at the BSE on Wednesday.

At 1.16 p.m., the benchmark 30-share BSE index .BSESN was down 1.6 percent at 10,723.62 points.

The 50-share National Stock Exchange Index was down 1.93 percent at 3,300.35 points.

* Marico Ltd (MRCO.BO) extended gains and rose as much as 6.75 percent to 68 rupees after the company posted a 9 percent rise in consolidated net profit to 444.1 million rupees for the quarter ended March 31.

Shares were up 2.8 percent at 66.5 rupees.

* Praj Industries Ltd (PRAJ.BO) fell as much as 9.2 percent to 68 rupees after the company on Tuesday posted a more than 15 percent fall in net profit to 1.3 billion rupees in FY09.

Shares were down 8.41 percent at 68.6 rupees.
