FACTBOX-Foreign investment projects in Vietnam
Nov 27 (Reuters) - Vietnam's Planning and Investment Ministry estimated foreign direct investment pledges in the first 11 months of 2008 jumped nearly seven-fold to a record $59 billion, compared with a year earlier.
Disbursement between January and November is estimated to have risen 44.2 percent from the same period last year to a record $10 billion, the ministry said in a report seen on Thursday.
Malaysia is the biggest investor with investment pledges
totalling $14.9 billion after Lion Industries (LLBM.KL)
received a licence to invest more than $7 billion in a $9.79
billion steel mill with shipbuilder Vinashin, the report said.
