Indonesia's Permata raises $100 mln from 12-yr MTN
JAKARTA, June 16 (Reuters) - Indonesian lender PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI.JK) has raised $100 million from its 12-year subordinated medium term notes (MTN) to strengthen its capital, the bank said in a statement on Tuesday. The bank said Standard Chartered Bank (STAN.L) and Astra International Tbk (ASII.JK) were the main buyers of the medium-term notes.
A consortium comprised of Standard Chartered and Astra International controls Permata.
Permata's president director, Stewart D Hall, said having more capital would give the bank greater flexibility to take advantage of growth opportunities.
Permata shares closed unchanged at 600 rupiah on Tuesday, compared to 1.91 percent down in the main index .JKSE. (Reporting by Sonya Angraini; Editing by Ed Davies)
