MARKET SNAPSHOTS * Malaysian shares are expected to open higher on Monday on follow-through buying after last week's 3.1 percent rise.[.KLSE] * "I think the market should go up, the key index may test the 1,050 points level, if the index breaks that level, the next resistance will be 1,085 points," said an institutional dealer from a leading Malaysian brokerage. * "Malaysia has been lagging behind regional markets, foreign funds will eventually come in as they have been a net seller of our market for the past few months. ASIA MARKETS NEWS - Asian stocks are set to open lower on Monday as fears of credit rating downgrades weighed on markets.Trading is expected to be thin head of market holidays on Monday in the U.S. and UK.[STXNEWS/AS] - Emerging equities firmed half a percent on Friday as dollar weakness and commodity strength helped the sector claw back some of the previous session's losses.[EMRG/FRX] - Southeast Asian stock markets mostly recovered from early falls on Friday, with energy-related shares among the advancers, including Singapore's Golden Agri, Malaysia's Tenaga, Thai PTTEP and Indonesia's Adaro Energy.[.SO]
