Egyptian Resorts 9-month net profit climbs 37 pct
CAIRO, Dec 1 (Reuters) - Tourism company and landowner Egyptian Resorts' (EGTS.CA) net profit surged 37 percent in the nine months to end-September to 224.7 million Egyptian pounds ($40.7 million), Egypt's bourse said on Monday.
The stock exchange gave no further details. Egyptian Resorts had reported net profit of 163.8 million pounds in the same period of 2007. Shares in the firm, which owns large amounts of land on the Red Sea coast, were trading 3.57 percent lower at 1.89 pounds by 0931 GMT, while overall the benchmark index was down 3.45 percent.
