KBC says stops BlueCrest fund leverage facility

ZURICH, July 2 (Reuters) - Belgian bank KBC (KBC.BR) on Thursday said it has terminated a leverage facility it provided to BlueCrest Specialty Asset Finance, a beleaguered fund run by UK hedge funds manager BlueCrest Capital Management.

A spokesman for the bank said its Financial Products unit is withdrawing from a number of hedge-funds related businesses.

BlueCrest was not available for comment.
