SOFIA, Jan 23 (Reuters) - These are some of the main stories in Bulgaria's newspapers on Wednesday. Reuters has not verified these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

GENERAL AND POLITICS

- The ruling Socialist party said Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev and key ministers would give details on the Bulgarian-Russian contracts signed last week in parliament (Dnevnik, 24 Chasa, Novinar, Standart, Sega, Trud, Duma).

- The leader of the junior coalition partner, ex-king Simeon Saxe-Coburg, repositioned members in parliamentary commissions, allowing some 30 out of 97 positions to be retained by members that had defected from his party NMS (Sega, Monitor).

ECONOMY

- Foreign direct investment in Bulgaria is estimated at about 5.2-5.3 billion euros in 2007, the investment promotion agency said (Standart, Trud, Pari, Duma).

BUSINESS

- The Bulgarian bourse lost another two billion levs ($1.48 billion) of market capitalization yesterday, due to withdrawal of foreign investors to 25.1 billion levs (Dnevnik, Pari, 24 Chasa, Novinar, Standart, Sega, Duma).

- Bulgarian insurer Bulstrad BSTD.BB will increase its market share in general insurance to 20 percent and to 10 pecrent in life insurance after buying two insurance units of Bulgarski Imoti, currently owned by Vienna Insurance Group WISV.VI (Pari, 24 Chasa).
