ETF Securities gold ETC assets rise 52,000 oz on Jul 1
LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - The amount of metal ETF Securities holds to back its three gold exchange-traded commodities rose more than 52,000 ounces or 0.7 percent on July 1, the company said in a daily report on Thursday.
Its ETFS Physical Gold product (PHAU.L) added more than 49,000 ounces to its reserves on Wednesday and now holds 2.857 million ounces of metal against 2.807 million a day before, the company said.
Its Gold Bullion Securities (GBSx.L) ETC and a third gold-backed product, a small Australian fund, also recorded small inflows that day.
The company issues securities backed by physical stocks of commodities such as precious metals, giving investors exposure to movements in the asset price without having to buy and store the commodity themselves. (Reporting by Jan Harvey; Editing by James Jukwey)
