STOCKS NEWS EUROPE-K+S falls on price pressure
Shares in K+S AG(SDFG.DE) fall 2.3 percent, making them the sharpest decliners among German blue chips .GDAXI, as Joachin Felker, board member in charge of fertilizers, says in an interview that the company is facing pricing pressures and needs takeovers to expand. "Felker said that K+S needs acquisitions to grow, but that these acquisitions have, at least for the moment, become more expensive," says a Frankfurt-based trader.
A second trader points to pricing pressure for K+S nitrogen-based fertilizers and says this pricing pressure could become worse if mass contracts for fertilizer in India come in at low prices.
"The general situation for (for pricing) in India is completely uncertain," writes UniCredit analyst Andreas Heine in a note to clients.
