Russia's Novatek Q3 profit beats forecast

MOSCOW, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Novatek (NVTK.MM), Russia's No.2 gas producer, reported on Friday a 29 percent year-on-year rise in its third-quarter net profits, slightly above analysts' estimates.

The company said its net profit attributable to shareholders rose to 7.35 billion roubles ($256 million) in July-September 2009.

Analysts, polled by Reuters, had expected net profit to rise to 7.22 billion roubles. [ID:nLB687800]
