French and Benelux stocks - Factors to watch on July 13

PARIS, July 13 (Reuters) - Below is company-related news and leading stories from French and Benelux newspapers which could have an impact on the region's markets or individual stocks.

PHILIPS (PHG.AS)

The Dutch conglomorate publishes second quarter results at 0500 GMT.

EDF (EDF.PA)

A government source denied a news report that the state would demand the resignation of EDF head Pierre Gadonneix due to the level of debts at the power group and his temerity to have asked for a 20 percent tariff rise over the next three years.

The source added the state had no worries about the stability of EDF. Gadonneix, born in 1943, was named at the head of EDF in 2004, coming from GDF. His current term ends in November but he is seeking a new term.

AREVA (CEPFi.PA)

* French nuclear reactor maker announced new development plans for India on Friday, including a proposal to build new state-of-the-art EPR reactors and an engineering pact with conglomerate Tata. [ID:nLA685831].

* S&P confirmed its ratings on Areva. [ID:nWNA8804].

EADS (EAD.PA)

Airbus confirmed on Friday that Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways had cancelled an order for a A340-600 aircraft that was damaged during testing but said the move did not represent a commercial snub. [ID:nla687942].  Continued...
