LONDON, July 13 (Reuters) - RBC Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada (RY.TO), on Monday named former United Utilities (UU.L) chief executive John Roberts as non-executive chairman of its main European subsidiary. Roberts joined RBC in 2005 as a non-executive director on the board of the subsidiary, RBC Europe Ltd, and chairman of its audit committee. He replaces bond specialist Adrian Bell, who retired last month, a spokeswoman said.
