LONDON, June 22 (Reuters) - ETF Securities said on Monday the amount of gold it holds to back its Gold Bullion Securities exchange-traded commodity fell around 45,000 ounces on June 19.
Its Gold-backed GBS (GBSx.L) is now backed by 4.366 million ounces of bullion, against 4.411 million ounces the week before, the company said in a report.
On a daily basis, gold holdings were unchanged on June 19 versus the day before.
Holdings of the company's physical platinum (PHPT.L) fell to 342,015 ounces on June 19 compared with 342,265 the previous day, while palladium (PHPD.L) dropped to 312,950 from 315,571 ounces.
The company issues securities backed by physical stocks of commodities such as precious metals, giving investors exposure to movements in the asset price without having to buy and store the commodity themselves. (Reporting by Veronica Brown; Editing by Sue Thomas)
