Nova Measuring reports record Q2 stand-alone orders
JERUSALEM, June 22 (Reuters) - Israel-based Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd (NVMI.O) (NVMI.TA) said it had won record orders for its stand-alone metrology equipment in the second quarter.
Nova said in a statement on Monday the orders were placed by three customers and represented a "meaningful growth engine" because its stand-alone metrology kit sells at significantly higher prices than its integrated metrology offerings.
Nova CEO Gadi Seligsohn said the orders were proof the measuring instruments industry was recovering from the financial meltdown.
The company, whose equipment is used in semiconductor manufacturing, said it expects to deliver and install the ordered tools by the third quarter of 2009.
It did not name the customers. (Reporting by Joseph Nasr; Editing by David Holmes)
