Kazakh Halyk bank names new chief executive
ALMATY, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan's Halyk bank (HSBKq.L) said on Friday its deputy chief executive, Umut Shayakhmetova, would replace Grigory Marchenko as chief executive.
Marchenko stepped down as chief executive after being appointed chairman of the central bank. Halyk said in a statement it would preserve its existing strategy under the new management. (Writing by Olzhas Auyezov; Editing by Robin Paxton and Jon Loades-Carter)
