Shares in Yule Catto (YULC.L) rise 8.3 percent as the chemicals firm says it expects full-year profit to beat market expectations after construction markets became more robust during the first half.

"We are moving our pretax to a little over 30 million pounds so there's a material upgrade to earnings this year," says RBS analyst Conor O'Prey.

"They're talking about volumes coming off the lows ... There's some caution but there's reason for optimism."
