Shares in James Cropper (CRPR.L) rise 8.5 percent after the British paper manufacturer says it expects its full-year pretax profit to beat market expectations after a good second half.
"We are therefore upgrading our 2009 pretax profit forecast to 0.7 million pounds (from a previously expected loss of £0.4m) and expect to upgrade our 2010 forecast to 1.2 million (from 0.5 million)," says Brewin Dolphin analyst James Tetley, who upgrades the group to a "buy" rating from a "hold".

Shares in Regent Inns (REGI.L) slump as much as 25 percent as the bar operator says it is considering delisting from London's main market, confirming press reports saying the owner of Walkabout bars and Jongleurs comedy clubs is weighing the step as a way to cut costs.
