Lotos chief executive reappointed for another 3 yrs
WARSAW, June 25 (Reuters) - Pawel Olechnowicz will remain at the helm of Poland's No. 2 refiner Lotos LTOS.WA for another three-year term, the company said on Thursday.
Olechnowicz, who has held his job longer than any other top executive at a listed state-controlled company in Poland, is seen by many investors as a guarantor of the refiner's financial stability amid global economic turmoil and the ambitious investment programme.
The reappointment was widely expected, although some media speculated the centre-right government might take advantage of the opportunity to replace Olechnowicz, who was appointed by a leftist government in 2002.
Lotos shares, the session's worst performers, were umoved by the announcement. The stock fell 3.8 percent, although it has gained 80 percent this year. (Reporting by Patryk Wasilewski; editing by Mike Nesbit)
