Abertis board approves top management changes
MADRID, May 26 (Reuters) - Spain's Abertis (ABE.MC) has approved a top management restructuring after its chief executive recently took over the chairman's job, the infrastructure group said in a statement on Tuesday.[nLB295151] Former managing director at Criteria CaixaCorp (CRIT.MC) Francisco Reynes has been appointed managing director for corporate affairs, while that division's former head Josep Martinez Vila has been named managing director for business and operations.
Jose Aljaro remains as financial director.
Abertis also approved the appointment to its board of Julio Sacristan, substituting Demetrio Ullastres as Spain's ACS (ACS.MC) representative.
The builder and Criteria CaixaCorp (CRIT.MC), Spanish savings bank La Caixa's investment vehicle, are majority shareholders in Abertis.
La Caixa chairman Isidre Faine and ACS chairman Florentino Perez are deputy chairmen of Abertis.
In a separate statement, Criteria said it has appointed Gonzalo Gortazar as managing director to replace Franciso Reynes.
