BRUSSELS, June 29 (Reuters) - Belgian banking and insurance group KBC (KBC.BR) said on Monday its Slovak unit CSOB would appeal against a fine it received with two other banks for a cartel agreement against Czech financial services firm Akcenta.

The banks, the Slovenska Sporitelna unit of Austria's Erste Group (ERST.VI), Italy's Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI) unit VUB and KBC's CSOB acted together against Akcenta by closing its business bank accounts in 2007, Slovakia's Anti-Monopoly Office said in a statement earlier this month. [ID:nLC393673]

It fined Slovenska Sporitelna 3.19 million euros ($4.5 million), CSOB 3.18 million and VUB 3.81 million. (Reporting by Antonia van de Velde; Editing by David Holmes) ($1=.7143 Euro)
