BRIEF-Goldman Sachs selling 12 pct of Prysmian

MILAN, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs International's (GS.N) investment company Prysmian (Lux) II Sarl company said in a statement on Monday:

* Launching an operation to sell a 12 percent stake in Italian cable company Prysmian SpA (PRY.MI)

* Stake to be sold in accelerated procedure to Italian and foreign institutions

* Goldman Sachs and Prysmian (Lux) II Sarl to agree to 60 days lock-up on rest of their stakes
