NEW YORK, March 3 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on Monday:
NORTHROP GRUMMAN CORP (NOC.N)
BOEING CO (BA.N)
Northrop shares were up 3.4 percent before the bell after the U.S. Air Force awarded the U.S. No. 3 defense company a multibillion-dollar contract to build a fleet of refueling tanker planes. For details, see [ID:nN29504220]
Share of Boeing, the losing bidder for the contract, slid 3.7 percent to $79.71 from its New York Stock Exchange close Friday of $82.79.
Northrop shares had finished last week at $78.61.
DIEBOLD INC (DBD.N)
Diebold shares jumped more than 60 percent before the bell after United Technologies Corp. (UTX.N) made an unsolicited bid for the ATM maker. For more see [ID:nN02520295].
The stock last traded at $39.10, up from its Friday close of $24.12.
FORD MOTOR CO (F.N)
GENERAL MOTORS CORP (GM.N)
The two auto makers are due to report their sales for February at around midday. Analysts expect double-digit declines from both. For more see [ID:nN02499241]
Ford shares were about 3.5 percent lower in light premarket trading Monday, after closing Friday at $6.53
GM was off 2 cents in thin volume at $23.26. It closed at $23.28.
