NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Tuesday:

BOEING CO (BA.N), $51.96, down 0.6 pct

The Dow component said it would take a charge in its third quarter because of its 747 airliner program. [ID:nWNAB6495]

EMERSON ELECTRIC CO (EMR.N), $39.45, up 2 pct

AVOCENT CORP (AVCT.O), $24.75, up 21 pct

Emerson agreed to buy Avocent for about $1.2 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Emerson will pay $25 for each share of Avocent, a premium of 22 percent to the company's Monday closing price. [ID:nBNG531147]

SYKES ENTERPRISES INC (SYKE.O), $20.55, up 2 pct

ICT GROUP INC (ICTG.O), $15, up 42 pct

Sykes plans to buy ICT for about $263 million in a cash and stock deal. Under the terms of the agreement, Sykes will pay $15.38 for each shares of ICT, a premium of 46 percent to ICT's Monday closing price. [ID:nBNG90883]

MARSHALL & ILSLEY CORP (MI.N), $8.37, up 5.4 pct

BIOVAIL CORP (BVF.N), $14.74, up 0.1 pct (U.S. shares)
