 NEW YORK, June 8 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move
on Monday:
 JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (JPM.N)
 GOLDMAN SACHS GROUP INC (GS.N)
 The U.S. Federal Reserve is expected to say that the two
financial services company will be allowed to repay TARP money,
according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. For more see

 Shares of Goldman slid 1.1 percent to $147.33 while Dow
component JPMorgan was up 2.3 percent to $35.33.
 MCDONALD'S CORP (MCD.N)
 The fast food company reported a 5.1 percent increase in
May same-store sales. However, the growth was down from April,
when global same-store sales rose 6.9 percent.

 Shares of the Dow component fell 3 percent to $58.09.
 GENERAL MILLS INC (GIS.N)
 The food company expects 2009 earnings to exceed its prior
outlook of $3.87 to $3.89 a share by several cents per share.

 The stock rose 4.2 percent to $54.35.
 DIODES INC (DIOD.O)
 Shares of Diodes advanced 1 percent to $15.84 after it
raised its second-quarter revenue outlook, citing improvement

 QWEST COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL INC (Q.N)
 The company said it is not selling its long-distance phone
network after completing a comprehensive review and a bidding
process with interested parties. [ID:nN08302874]
 Shares sank 5.8 percent to $3.93.
 AT&T INC (T.N)
 Goldman Sachs removed AT&T from its Americas Conviction Buy
list, "given recent underperformance as investors have rotated
out of later cycle telecom stocks."
 Shares of the Dow component fell 1.6 percent to $24.16.
 SCOTTS MIRACLE-GRO CO (SMG.N)
 BMO Capital Markets upgraded the company to outperform from
market perform, citing an improving fundamental picture.

 Shares rose 3.9 percent to $35.61.
 NPS PHARMACEUTICALS (NPSP.O)
 Goldman Sachs removed the company from its Americas sell
list, upgrading the stock to neutral on valuation.

 Shares advanced 8.7 percent to $3.89.
 QUIKSILVER INC (ZQK.N)
 Lazard Capital Markets doubled its price target on the
apparel maker, lifting it to $6 from $3, saying the company
would be helped by cost cuts and a weaker dollar.

 Shares rose 4.9 percent to $3.66.
 ANGIOTECH PHARMACEUTICALS INC (ANPI.O)
 U.S.-listed shares of the pharmaceutical company rallied 42
percent to $2.42 after it received marketing clearance from the
Food and Drug Administration for its implantable device to

 GLAXOSMITHKLINE (GSK.N)
 The company's experimental diabetes drug was shown to be
more effective than Eli Lilly (LLY.N) and Amylin
Pharmaceuticals' (AMLN.O) Byetta in controlling blood sugar, a
mid-stage test unveiled on Sunday. [ID:nL5159781]
 U.S.-listed shares of Glaxo slid 0.3 percent to $32.93.
 Micromet Inc (MITI.O)
 Shares of the pharmaceutical company soared 19.5 percent to
$5.52 after its drug blinatumomab achieved its primary endpoint
in a Phase II study with acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients.

 BLACKROCK (BLK.N)
 Barclays Plc (BARC.L) (BCS.N) is in talks to sell its
Barclays Global Investors unit, with BlackRock the front-runner

 Shares of BlackRock rose 3.2 percent to $168.99.
 EQUINIX INC (EQIX.O)
 The company announced a proposed $250 million public
offering of convertible subordinated notes due 2016.

 VERTEX PHARMACEUTICALS INC (VRTX.O)
 The company will exchange $103.3 million of its 2013
convertible senior subordinated notes into common stock.

 COUSINS PROPERTIES INC (CUZ.N)
 The company's chairman and CEO Thomas Bell will retire on
July 1 and be replaced by Larry Gellerstedt III, Cousins's

 Shares fell 2.6 percent to $10.03.
 HOME DEPOT INC (HD.N)
 The company's stock "looks like a bargain," Barron's wrote,
arguing that the home improvement retailer had slowed expansion

 Shares of the Dow component rose 1.2 percent to $24.45.
 ALLSTATE CORP (ALL.N)
 Shares of the insurance company could be due to extend a
recent rally after it cut back its risk and focused on auto and
homeowner policies, Barron's wrote in its latest issue.

 Shares rose 1.4 percent to $25.39.
 PIEDMONT NATURAL GAS CO INC (PNY.N)
 The company reported a 10 percent rise in quarterly profit
