Avanir Pharmaceuticals files for $25 million shelf
WASHINGTON, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Avanir Pharmaceuticals (AVNR.O) filed with regulators on Friday to periodically sell up to $25 million in common and preferred stock, depositary shares, debt securities, and warrants.
The pharmaceutical company said in a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it will use the net proceeds for drug development, clinical trials, and general and administrative expenses, among other uses.
Under a shelf registration, a company may sell securities in one or more separate offerings with the size, price and terms to be determined at the time of sale. (Reporting by Karey Wutkowski)
