BEFORE THE BELL-U.S. listed gold producers rise in premarket

NEW YORK, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Shares of U.S.-listed gold producers rose in premarket trade on Monday as the price of spot gold hit a record high of $1,110.85 and the U.S. dollar fell against a basket of currencies.

Freeport McMoran Copper & Gold (FCX.N) shares rose 2.4 percent to $81.49, shares in Newmont Mining (NEM.N) gained 2.2 percent to $50.10, Yamana Gold (AUY.N) rose 2.9 pct to $12.40, while U.S. listed shares in Barrick Gold (ABX.N) added 2.1 pct to $42.50.

Spot gold XAU= was bid at $1,106.10 a troy ounce at 8:29 a.m. (1329 GMT) compared with $1,096.30 late on Friday. (Reporting by Edward Krudy; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
