NEW YORK, July 9 (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp (XOM.N) said production was not affected by a Wednesday snag with a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracker unit at its 562,500 barrel per day Baytown, Texas refinery, according to a company environmental filing.
"Loss of oxygen to FCCU2 caused partial oxidation and consequential excess emissions," Exxon said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regarding the event at the largest refinery in the United States.
"Oxygen flow was restored to FCCU2. Operations adjusted to minimize emissions. The event had no impact on production and all customer needs were met," the company added. (Reporting by Haitham Haddadin; Editing by John Picinich)
