UPDATE 1-Mesa ends agreement on certain senior notes
(Adds background, share price)
CHICAGO, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Struggling U.S. airline Mesa Air Group (MESA.O) said on Monday it would terminate agreements with certain holders of senior convertible notes due 2024.
The company said it may not resume talks with note holders until on or after Feb. 11.
Mesa, which provides regional service for US Airways Group (LCC.N), Delta Air Lines (DAL.N) and other carriers has been looking to shore up its finances for months as it tries to ride out volatile fuel prices and a drop in travel demand.
Mesa shares were down 7.5 percent at 10 cents per share on the Nasdaq.
