NEW YORK, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Friday:

OCCIDENTAL PETROLEUM CORP (OXY.N), $79.60, down 0.6 pct

CITIGROUP INC (C.N), $4.61, down 0.9 pct

Occidental struck a deal to buy Citigroup's commodities trading unit, Phibro, for roughly its net asset value. [ID:nN0930601]

KIMBERLY-CLARK CORP (KMB.N), $58.06, flat

I-FLOW CORP (IFLO.O), $12.59, up 7.1 pct

Kimberly-Clark agreed to buy I-Flow in a deal with a total value of about $276 million. [ID:nN0947524]

AK STEEL HOLDING CORP (AKS.N), $19.72, up 1.4 pct

Deutsche Bank upgraded the stock to "buy" from "hold" and said the company was an attractive acquisition candidate. [ID:nBNG515086]

SUNRISE SENIOR LIVING INC (SRZ.N), $4.59, up 39 pct

The company will sell 21 of its assisted living communities to an affiliate of rival Brookdale Senior Living Inc (BKD.N) for $204 million. [ID:nBNG194047]

ACORDA THERAPEUTICS INC (ACOR.O), $16.93, down 24 pct

The company's proposed drug to help multiple sclerosis patients walk better appears to have a 'very limited effect' even though the drug met its main clinical trial goals, U.S. regulatory staff said in documents. [ID:nN0946890]

SCIENTIFIC LEARNING CORP (SCIL.O), $5.78, up 70 pct
