 NEW YORK, July 10 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on
Thursday:
 BANK OF AMERICA (BAC.N)
 Shares of Bank of America rose 2 percent in extended trade
on Wednesday after its chief executive told CNBC he sees no
need for the bank to cut its dividend or raise capital. For

 ROHM & HAAS CO ROH.N
 DOW CHEMICAL CO (DOW.N)
 Rohm and Haas shares rose 67 percent before the bell on
Thursday to $75 after Dow Chemical announced it would buy the
specialty chemicals and electronics maker for $18.8 billion.
 Shares of Dow Chemical dropped 2.1 percent before the bell
on Thursday to $33.24. [ID:nN10461510].
 MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL INC (MAR.N)
 The hotel operator said on Thursday that quarterly profit
fell, citing weaker economic conditions in the United States.
 Marriott shares dropped 6.5 percent to $24.35 before the
bell on Thursday. [ID:nN10463458].
 COOPER INDUSTRIES (CBE.N)
 Shares of Cooper Industries rose after the electrical
products and tools maker said its second-quarter results will
be higher than previously indicated. [ID:nWNAB0215]
 Shares rose 6.4 percent to $40.10 on Wednesday, from a
close of $37.69 on the NYSE.
 AAR CORP (AIR.N)
 The provider of parts and maintenance services to the
aviation industry, posted better-than-expected quarterly
results, helped by strength in its maintenance, repair and
overhaul and structures and systems segments. [ID:nBNG208184]
 Shares of the Wood Dale, Illinois-based company rose more
than 5 percent to $15.22 in trading after the bell on
Wednesday. The stock closed at $14.43 on the New York Stock
Exchange.
 TRIQUINT SEMICONDUCTOR INC (TQNT.O)
 The company, which makes chips used in mobile phones,
slashed its second-quarter outlook, citing delay in product
roll-outs and shipments, sending its shares down about 12

 Shares of the Hillsboro, Oregon-based company fell to $5.10
in trading after the bell, after closing at $5.78 in regular
trading on Wednesday Nasdaq.
 OPNEXT INC (OPXT.O)
 The company, which makes fiber optic network components,
said it agreed to buy privately held StrataLight Communications
Inc in a cash and stock deal valued at $172 million.

 Shares of Eatontown, New Jersey-based Opnext closed down
1.5 percent at $5.27 Wednesday on Nasdaq.
