Wachovia reports 12.7 pct stake in WisdomTree Trust

WASHINGTON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Wachovia Corp WB.N reported on Thursday that it holds a 12.71-percent passive stake in WisdomTree Trust DEB.N, one of WisdomTree Investments Inc's (WSDT.PK) exchange-traded funds.

Wachovia reported its stake in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in which it was not required to disclose when it bought the shares or the purpose behind the transactions.

The filing said Wachovia had invested in the WisdomTree International HealtHcare Sector fund.

WisdomTree Investments is a provider of ETFs that is backed by investor Michael Steinhardt. It saidd earlier this week that it rolled out a retirement offering based on ETFs.
