NEW YORK, Aug 12 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Wednesday:

TOLL BROTHERS INC (TOL.N), $23.42, up 14.4 pct

The homebuilder expects to report a 42 percent drop in third-quarter homebuilding revenue, but said net signed contracts increased in the quarter. [ID:nBNG401966]

Shares of Toll Brothers rose 6.6 percent to $21.83 in premarket trading.

MACY'S INC (M.N), $16.16, up 4.5 pct

The department store posted a better-than-expected second-quarter profit. [ID:nN12535008]

LIZ CLAIBORNE INC (LIZ.N), $3.90, down 2.7 pct

The company reported a quarterly loss that was wider than expected. [ID:nBNG146633]

MICROSOFT CORP (MSFT.O), $23.68, up 2.4 pct

The company late Tuesday said it would announce an alliance with Nokia (NOK1V.HE), likely unveiling plans to make the software company's Office suite of applications available on Nokia devices. [ID:nN11539672]

UBS AG (UBS.N) (UBSN.VX), $15.29, up 3.9 pct
