FACTBOX: Largest biotechnology deals in 2007
(Reuters) - Biotechnology company Biogen Idec Inc. (BIIB.O) on Friday had put itself up for sale after receiving expressions of interest from parties including billionaire financier Carl Icahn. Investors speculated on Monday that biotech companies such as Genzyme Corp. (GENZ.O) could be targeted next.
