Mexico's ICA-led consortium wins water contract
MEXICO CITY, June 19 (Reuters) - Mexico's construction company ICA (ICA.MX) (ICA.N) said on Friday one of its units won a contract to build, operate and maintain a water supply system for the central state of San Luis Potosi over a period of 25 years.
A consortium led by ICA's subsidiary Controladora de Operaciones de Infraestructura will build a 132-kilometer (82-mile) aqueduct from El Realito dam to the state's capital.
The project will require a 2.382 billion peso ($179 million) investment. The government is contributing 49 percent of the cost with the rest provided by the companies and bank debt.
ICA said it expects to consolidate 51 percent of the construction. Its shares rose 2.2 percent to 23.87 pesos on Friday morning. (Reporting by Cyntia Barrera Diaz; Editing by Brian Moss)
