RBC CAPITAL MARKETS
The firm appointed Joseph Radecki to its U.S. global investment banking technology group. Radecki, a 20 veteran of investment banking industry, previously led the technology group at Headwaters Merchant Bank.
CROSSHARBOR CAPITAL PARTNERS LLC
CrossHarbor announced that Stephen D. Steinour has joined the firm as managing partner. Steinour is the former president and CEO of Citizens Financial Group.
NORTHERN LIGHT VENTURE CAPITAL
Northern Light announced that John Wu has joined the firm as venture partner. Wu was previously chief technology officer of the e-commerce company Alibaba Group
INTERNATIONAL SECURITIES EXCHANGE
The ISE elected Frank J. Jones, PhD as its vice chairman. Jones, has been a professor of accounting and business at San Jose State University since 2003. He had been the chairman of the ISE from 2006 to January 2008.
GE REAL ESTATE
GE Real Estate has named Joe Parsons president and CEO of its global investment management division. Parsons was previously president of GE Real Estate's North America equity division.
DREMAN VALUE MANAGEMENT
The firm appointed Cliff Hoover as chief executive officer. Hoover is currently the co-chief investment officer of Dreman. Hoover replaces former CEO Boris Onefater who has left the firm. In addition, the firm has hired Gary Herbert as a managing director of high yield bonds, Brian Kloss as a portfolio manager, Michael Appleton as chief compliance officer, and Robert Rakossy as director of operations.
GAM
The asset manager announced the appointment of Richard Silver as head of GAM multi-manager N.Y. and Jeffrey Rose as investment manager. The moves are effective March 31st. Silver, a 20 year industry veteran, has previously work at O'Connor, Bankers Trust, UBS, and Conquest Capital. Rose joins the firm from Conquest Capital were he managed the fund of hedge funds portfolio.
BINGHAM MCCUTCHEN LLP
Bingham announced that Steven R. Howard and Thomas M. Majewski have joined the firm as partners working in the securities area and investment management practices group. Both Howard and Majewski join Bingham from Thacher Proffitt & Wood.
KOBRE & KIM LLP
The law firmed announced that Andrew C. Lourie has joined its Washington DC office. Lourie is the former chief of staff of the criminal division of the U.S. department of justice.
E*TRADE FINANCIAL (ETFC.O)
The online brokerage announced that R. Jarrett Lilien will resign as president and chief operating officer, effective May 16. Lilien joined E*Trade in 1999 and had served as president and COO since 2003. In Addition, the company named Robert Burton president of E*Trade bank. Before joining E*Trade, Burton was head of the retail credit business at Wachovia WB.N.
GREENHILL & CO INC (GHL.N)
Greenhill appointed Richard Lieb as chief financial officer. He will replace John Liu who resigned from the firm. In Addition, Harold Rodriguez has been named chief financial officer of GHL Acquisition Corp GHQ_u.A, a new blank-check corporation. Rodriguez currently serves as chief administrative officer of Greenhill.
CRM HOLDINGS LTD. (CRMH.O)
CRM announced that Director Edmund N. Pascoe will resign from the board of directors. Pascoe, a 30-year insurance industry veteran, joined the CRM board in August 2007.
ALIXPARTNERS
The advisory firm appointed Jack Gau as managing director in its performance improvement practice. Gau joins AlixPartners from PRTM where he served as director of its Shanghai office.
DUFF CAPITAL ADVISORS
Duff has added a team of 13 senior leaders to the firm. Robin Roger will serve as general counsel and partner, Anson H. Beard will be head of investment manager sourcing. Juliette Cottrill will be co-head of client relations, Georges Courtadon joins as chief risk officer, Lance Edwards joins as chief technology officer, Kent Lorentzen joins as head of operations, Vivian Mandis will be co-head of client relations, Mark McCarty joins as head of trading, Mark Mennitt joins as head of finance and treasury, Joseph Nugent joins as head of securities lending, Gilad Rand will serve as controller, and Robert Litzenberger will work on risk and asset allocation.
SABMILLER PLC (SAB.L)
The brewer appointed Ronald van Amerongen as its international brand director for Grolsch beer. Van Amerongen was Grolsch's director of global marketing for Royal Grolsch. Grolsch was acquired by SABMiller on Feb. 21.
DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)
The bank appointed Jason Good as head of its institutional client group for European debt, effective immediately. Good will remain head of the institutional client group for equity.
TURQUOISE
The European trading platform announced that Peter Gibbs will be nonexecutive chairman of its board of directors, effective April 1. Gibbs, 50, is currently the chairman of trustees of the Merrill Lynch pension fund.
DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)
The German investment bank named Mark Davis the head of equity derivatives flow Asia Pacific, effective immediately. Davis moves to Hong Kong from Deutsche Securities in Tokyo, where he was previously head of equity derivative sales for Japan.
NORTHERN TRUST CORP (NTRS.O)
The financial services company hired Stephanie Howell as a relationship manager supporting U.K. corporate pension fund, and particularly British local government pension plan, asset servicing clients.
