 NEW YORK, May 19 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on
Tuesday:
 HOME DEPOT INC (HD.N)
 The home improvement retailer reported first-quarter
earnings that beat expectations, lifted as it reined in
expenses. [ID:nN19544666]
 Shares of the Dow component closed Monday at $26.02.
 GOLDMAN SACHS (GS.N)
 MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
 The companies, along with other banks, have applied to
repay the billions of dollars they borrowed under the U.S.
government's TARP program, sources said Monday.

 Shares of Goldman closed Monday at $143.15 while Morgan
Stanley shares edged 1 percent higher to $28.55 in premarket
trading.
 AMERICAN EXPRESS INC (AXP.N)
 The credit card company late Monday said it planned to cut
4,000 jobs, or 6 percent of its work force, as the economy
causes higher customer defaults. [ID:nN18369935]
 Shares of the Dow component rose 3.7 percent to $27.10 in
premarket trading.
 SAKS INC (SKS.N)
 The luxury retailer reported its first-quarter results and
gave a full-year outlook. [ID:nWNAB1282]
 Shares gained 8.8 percent to $4.44 in premarket trading.
 MEDTRONIC INC (MDT.N)
 The company reported its fourth-quarter results, which
included a rise of 8 percent in its annual revenue.

 Shares closed Monday at $33.96.
 HIMAX TECHNOLOGIES INC (HIMX.O)
 The chipmaker reported quarterly earnings that met market
estimates and expects second-quarter revenue to rise

 Himax shares rose 15 percent to $2.99 in after-hours
trade.
 KULICKE & SOFFA INDUSTRIES INC (KLIC.O)
 The chip packaging tools supplier raised its third-quarter
revenue outlook. [ID:nWNAB1071]
 The stock rose 14 percent to $4.21 in after-market trade.
 PROSPECT CAPITAL CORP (PSEC.O)
 The specialty finance company started a public offering of
5 million shares of its common stock to maintain balance sheet
liquidity. [ID:nWNAB1069]
 Shares fell more than 11 percent to $8.75 in after market
trade.
 MSCI INC (MXB.N)
 Morgan Stanley (MS.N) said it was selling its remaining
stake in the company. [ID:nBNG504188]
 Shares of MSCI sank 14 percent to $20.11 in premarket
trade.
 ENCORE ENERGY PARTNERS LP (ENP.N)
 The company said it would buy oil and natural gas
properties in Texas, Montana and North Dakota for $53.8 million
in cash, which will be partly funded through a public offering
of 2.4 million units by the company. [ID:nBNG11235]
 Shares fell 9 percent to $15.04 in trading after the bell.
 M/I HOMES INC (MHO.N)
 The home builder said it would offer 4 million of its
common shares to raise funds for general corporate purposes.
 Shares fell 3.9 percent to $14.48 in premarket trade.

 The maker of lozenges, gums and sugar free tablets for
common cold, said it was exploring strategic alternatives,
