NEW YORK, June 19 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Friday:
RESEARCH IN MOTION LTD (RIMM.O)
The BlackBerry maker gave an outlook late Thursday that fell short of expectations. It also reported first-quarter earnings that beat estimates. [ID:nN18406026]
Shares fell 1.8 percent to $75.20.
MICROSOFT CORP (MSFT.O)
VMWARE INC (VMW.N)
Goldman Sachs added Microsoft to its Americas conviction buy list, saying better revenue drivers, expense management, and sizable cash balances provide more opportunities for bottom-line beats.
At the same time, the firm downgraded VMware to neutral, citing limited upside. [ID:nBNG86897]
Shares of Microsoft, a Dow component, rose 2.5 percent to $24.08 while VMware shares were down 0.4 percent to $29.79.
APPLE INC (AAPL.O)
The new version of the company's popular iPhone smartphone went on sale on Friday. Investors are also awaiting the return of Chief Executive Steve Jobs, who has been out on medical leave. [ID:nN18225640]

NYSE EURONEXT (NYX.N)
