NEW YORK, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on Wednesday:
BOEING CO (BA.N)
The Dow component is delaying the delivery date for all 3,734 jetliners in its order backlog in an attempt to recover from a recent machinist's strike, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. [ID:nBNG421462]
Boeing shares closed Tuesday at $39.56.
AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP (AIG.N)
The insurer is paying about $3 million to executives under deferred compensation plans that are being terminated, the company said. AIG recently said it would terminate plans totaling $503 million in deferred compensation in an attempt to dissuade employees from quitting the company. CORUS BANKSHARES CORS.O
The real estate lender is deferring interest payment on $404.6 million of junior subordinated debt in an attempt to conserve cash. The company has also applied for funds under the government TARP program. [ID:nBNG421596]
Shares of Corus closed Tuesday at $1.93.
ROSS STORES (ROST.O)
The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat estimates by a penny but forecast fourth-quarter profits below consensus. [ID:nWEN0754]
Shares of the clothing retailer closed Tuesday at $25.48.
BJ'S WHOLESALE CLUB (BJ.N)
The discount retailer reported third-quarter earnings growth of 24 percent and raised its full-year outlook. [ID:nN18183036]
Shares of the company closed Tuesday at $33.57.
LDK SOLAR CO (LDK.N)
The solar wafer maker reported third-quarter earnings that rose sharply from the prior year and revenue that was up 241 percent. [ID:nN19287633]
The stock closed Tuesday at $14.89 but surged to $16.20 before the bell.
TRINA SOLAR (TSL.N)
The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations but cut its full-year sales and margins outlook because of poor economic conditions. [ID:nN19283010]
The stock closed Tuesday at $7.22 but slid to $6.64 before the bell on Wednesday.
TIME WARNER INC (TWX.N)
The media company's Time Inc division is expected to cut more than 250 jobs, according to the New York Post. [ID:nN19315833]
Shares of the company closed Tuesday at $8.40 but eased off to $8.34 in trading before the bell..
LAWSON SOFTWARE INC (LWSN.O)
The business software maker said it plans to cut 200 jobs, close one office facility and reduce discretionary expenses as part of a plan to cut costs.
