BANK OF AMERICA CORP (BAC.N)
The bank wants to repay $45 billion in bail-out funds by the end of the year, according to a report in the Financial Times. [ID:nN20542015]
Shares of the Dow component rose 1.6 percent to $11.67.
SONY CORP (SNE.N) (6758.T)
The electronics retailer said it would halve the number of its suppliers over the next two years, and is aiming to cut its procurement costs by 20 percent this year. [ID:nBNG398847]
U.S.-listed shares of Sony closed Wednesday at $26.11.
HORMEL FOODS CORP (HRL.N)
The food company reported an increase in its second-quarter earnings and forecast full-year results to be at the upper end of its previously announced outlook. [ID:nN21514211]
Shares closed Wednesday at $32.95.
SUNTECH POWER HOLDINGS INC (STP.N)
The company reported a surprise first-quarter profit and forecast moderate revenue growth in the second quarter. It also announced a follow-on public offering of 20 million ADSs. [ID:nBNG24881]
Shares fell 1.8 percent to $15.55 in premarket trading.
STEIN MART INC (SMRT.O)

The stock soared 35.5 percent to $5.99 in premarket trading.
CHILDREN'S PLACE RETAIL STORES INC (PLCE.O)
The company reported adjusted first-quarter earnings that met expectations and revenue that was ahead of consensus. [ID:nBNG431752]
Shares closed Wednesday at $34.28.
GOOGLE INC (GOOG.O)
The company has decided against buying a newspaper, according to a report in the Financial Times that quoted its CEO. [ID:nLK101627]
Shares closed Wednesday at $397.18.
CITI TRENDS INC (CTRN.O)
The company posted first-quarter profit and revenue that beat expectations. [ID:nBNG450704]
Shares rose 10 percent to $25 in after-hours trade.
HOT TOPIC INC (HOTT.O)

PETSMART INC (PETM.O)
