WELLS FARGO & CO (WFC.N)
Citigroup said Wells Fargo could see a strong second quarter because of higher core mortgage results. The firm wrote in a research note that Wells could give a bullish outlook and could see relatively good net interest income. [ID:nBNG457357]
Shares of Wells rose 1.4 percent to $23.24 in premarket trading.
MONSANTO CO (MON.N)
The maker of agricultural products reported third-quarter profit fell 14 percent and said it planned a restructuring that would cut about 900 workers. [ID:nN24155884]
Shares rose 3.2 percent to $81.85 in premarket trading.
EMC CORP (EMC.N)
Barclays Capital upgraded the company to "overweight" from "equal weight," saying the company's business is currently stabilizing into a new product cycle and sales and gross margins could accelerate through 2010. [ID:nBNG469159]
Shares of EMC rose 1.8 percent to $12.81 in premarket trading.
RITE AID CORP (RAD.N)
