Union Pacific sees freight down 1 percent to 2 percent
CHICAGO (Reuters) - No. U.S. railroad Union Pacific Corp (UNP.N) said on Thursday that it expects freight volumes will be down between 1 percent and 2 percent in the current quarter.
In a presentation for analysts on its web site, the Omaha, Nebraska-based railroad said it expects freight volumes for the full year will be down around 1 percent.
The company also said that it expects to increase its freight rates by 5 percent to 6 percent this year.
