NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Friday:
FORD MOTOR CO (F.N)
Shares of Ford advanced 18 percent to $5.28 after it reported a narrower-than-expected first-quarter loss and said it was on track to at least break even in 2011 and that it didn't expect to seek U.S. government loans. [ID:nN24400235]
3M CO (MMM.N)
Shares of the manufacturer, a Dow component, rose 3.7 percent to $56.21 after it reported its first-quarter results and gave a 2009 outlook. [ID:nN24402436]
HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL (HON.N)
The manufacturer reported a drop in its first-quarter earnings and cut its full-year profit outlook. [ID:nN24330913]
The stock, a former Dow component, fell 4.3 percent to $30.99.
SCHLUMBERGER (SLB.N)
The oilfield services company reported first-quarter earnings that beat expectations. [ID:nN24396663]
The stock rose 6.2 percent to $49.52.
XEROX CORP (XRX.N)
The company swung to a first-quarter profit, though revenue was down 18 percent and equipment sales were off 30 percent. [ID:nN24540687]
The stock rose 4.9 percent to $6.02.
ITT CORP (ITT.N)
The manufacturer reported its first-quarter results and cut its full-year outlook. [ID:nN24395794]
Shares slid 2.2 percent to $41.38.
STANLEY WORKS (SWK.N)
The company reported its first-quarter results and gave a full-year outlook. [ID:nWNAB7757]
The stock rose 10 percent to $36.99.
CITIGROUP (C.N)
U.S. regulators who are concluding "stress tests" on banks
may remove Vikram Pandit, the chief executive officer of
Citigroup (C.N), according to a report in the New York Post,
which cited unnamed sources. [ID:nLO453728]
Shares of Citigroup, a Dow component, fell 0.3 percent to $3.19.
MICROSOFT CORP (MSFT.O)
The software company late Thursday reported third-quarter results in line with expectations but said that its recovery would be "slow and gradual." [ID:nN23368207]
Shares of the company, a Dow component, rose 8.3 percent to $20.47.
AMERICAN EXPRESS (AXP.N)
The credit card company reported a steep drop in its first-quarter earnings, though the results were above expectations. [ID:nN23358086]
Shares of the company, a Dow component, advanced 19 percent to $25.01.
NETFLIX INC (NFLX.O)
The online movie rental company raised its subscriber and earnings targets but gave a guidance that disappointed some analysts. [ID:nN23332174]
Shares fell 4.8 percent to $43.16.
GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (GE.N)
Safran will buy 81 percent of GE Homeland Protection for $580 million. GE will still own the remaining share. [ID:nLO578594].
Shares were up 2.5 percent to $12.18.
MORGAN STANLEY (MS.N)
The financial services company may spinoff its biggest proprietary-trading desk into a hedge fund or open the unit to outside investors, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. [ID:nBNG117046]
Shares edged 0.5 percent lower to $21.85.
WESTERN DIGITAL (WDC.N)
Shares of the hard disk drive marker fell 3.9 percent to $20.94 after it reported its third-quarter results. [ID:nN23363916]
JUNIPER NETWORKS JNPR.O
The stock surged 14 percent to $22 after it gave a second-quarter outlook and said business was stabilizing. [ID:nN23372652]
IDEXX LABORATORIES (IDXX.O)
Shares rose 4.7 percent to $40.03 after the company reported first-quarter earnings that beat expectations but cut its 2009 revenue outlook. [ID:nBNG152266]
DECKERS OUTDOOR CORP (DECK.O)
The shoe company posted first-quarter results that were better than expected but forecast a second-quarter loss. [ID:nBNG423996]
Shares dropped 6.5 percent to $59.65.
STARENT NETWORKS (STAR.O)
The company, which helps mobile operators deliver multimedia services to subscribers, raised its full-year earnings outlook. [ID:nBNG368811]
Shares rose 18 percent to $18.79.
ARCH COAL (ACI.N)

PMC-SIERRA INC (PMCS.O)
Shares of the chipmaker rose 15 percent to $8.06 after it reported better-than-expected first-quarter results. [ID:nBNG386349]
ALIGN TECHNOLOGY INC (ALGN.O)
The maker of teeth-alignment systems posted better-than-expected first-quarter earnings and forecast a second-quarter in-line with market views. [ID:nWNAB7298]
Shares rose 15 percent to $11.88.
RIVERBED TECHNOLOGY (RVBD.O)
Shares surged 25 percent to $18.24 after it gave a second-quarter outlook that was above expectations. [ID:nBNG438185]
INTERACTIVE BROKERS GROUP INC (IBKR.O)
Shares of the derivatives trader fell 16 percent to $14.01 after it reported a worse-than-expected quarterly profit as revenue from its market making segment more than halved. [ID:nBNG381861]
DATA DOMAIN INC (DDUP.O)
Shares of the data storage systems provider rose 13 percent to $15.61 after it posted a quarterly profit that beat market estimates by a cent and reaffirmed its 2009 revenue view. [ID:nBNG486084]
