NYSE resolves premarket order matching problem
NEW YORK, June 26 (Reuters) - The New York Stock Exchange said Friday it fixed a technical glitch in one of its order-matching engines that affected trading in more than 550 issues on the Big Board.
NYSE Euronext (NYX.N), parent of the exchange, said in an emailed system status alert that stocks, including Citigroup Inc (C.N), Kroger Co (KR.N), and Jefferies & Co (JEF.N) were affected. The problem was fixed within 20 minutes, according to an exchange spokesman, and no difficulties were anticipated at the market's open.
The exchange suffered a similar technical glitch on June 12, when trading was halted during the floor session in more than 240 companies.
