NEW YORK, June 29 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks on the move on Monday:
STATE STREET CORP (STT.N)
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission provided the company's principal subsidiary with a "Wells" notice related to an ongoing SEC investigation into the disclosure and management by State Street global advisors of certain active fixed-income strategies during 2007 and prior periods. Shares fell 1.5 percent to $47.55.
UBS AG (UBS.N)
The bank will pay $2.77 billion to $4.62 billion in the next two weeks to settle a tax probe, according to Swiss newspaper Sonntag. [ID:nLS407218]
U.S-listed shares fell 2.8 percent to $11.96.
FIRST AMERICAN CORP (FAF.N)
FIRST ADVANTAGE CORP (FADV.O)
First American offered to buy the 26 percent of First Advantage that it doesn't already own for about $218 million of stock. [ID:nN29377151]
Shares of First American slid 0.3 percent to $26.04 while First Advantage surged 16 percent to $14.74.
BIOGEN IDEC INC (BIIB.O)
A 10th patient taking the company's multiple sclerosis drug Tysabri has developed a potentially deadly brain infection since it was reintroduced to the market in July 2006.
