BLACKSTONE GROUP (BX.N)

The private equity firm hired Philip Levinson to a new position running its capital raising and other operations in Asia Pacific. Levinson leaves RREEF, the global real estate, infrastructure and private equity unit of Deutsche Bank's (DBKGn.DE) asset management division.

J.E. ROBERT COMPANIES

The commercial real estate investment management firm hired Barden Gale as chief executive, replacing founder Joseph Robert, who will become executive chairman. Gale was vice chairman of real estate at Starwood Capital Group.

FLAGSTONE REINSURANCE HOLDINGS LTD

The insurance and reinsurance firm announced Guy Swayne will return to the chief underwriting officer, in Bermuda, responsible for the international underwriting team.

Frederic Traimond, the group chief operating officer, will become chief executive for Flagstone Reassurance Suisse SA.

GEORGE SMITH PARTNERS

The commercial real estate investment banking firm named Shawn Visutsiri as vice president, formerly senior vice president at Halcyon Real Estate Investors.

BARCLAYS (BARC.L)

Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, hired several analysts in its Latin American equity research team.

Henrique Caldeira was appointed assistant vice president and senior research analyst to cover non-bank financial companies. Prior to that, he worked at Credit Suisse.

Leonardo Correa was also appointed assistant vice president and senior research analyst to cover Latin American metals and mining companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Correa worked at Credit Suisse.

Felipe Mattar joined Barclays Capital as director and senior research analyst for coverage of Latin American utility and oil companies. He joined with his team of Sergio Conti, vice president, and Bruno Pascon, assistant vice president, from Citi Investment Research.  Continued...
