BRIEF-Kaupthing sold Storebrand shares at NOK 24.5/shr

OSLO, May 15 (Reuters) - Representatives of Icelandic bank Kaupthing said on Friday:

* The bank sold 20.38 mln shares in Norwegian insurance company Storebrand (STB.OL), a stake of about 4.5 percent, at 24.50 per share through a placement.
