BEIJING, May 13 (Reuters) - Alibaba.com (1688.HK), China's top e-commerce firm, said on Wednesday it has teamed up with a Turkish software maker, the latest step to expand in the international market.

Alibaba, which has roughly 200,000 registered users in Turkey, will sell its paid membership package to Turkish small and medium-sized enterprises through Logo Group, parent of Logo Yazilim (LOGO.IS), it said in an emailed statement.

No financial details were given by the company.

Alibaba, which connects millions of registered small-business sellers and buyers of Chinese products online, said previously that international members accounted for only 2 percent of its revenue.

"Turkey is a strategically important country in that it is a large manufacturing base for Europe and forms a key trade link between East and West," Arthur Chang, Alibaba.com's vice president of global sales, said in the statement.

Hong Kong-listed Alibaba said last week it would raise the yearly fee its international members pay to $2,999 from $589 on June 15 in return for an upgraded package of services. (Reporting by Michael Wei and Nick Macfie)
