BRUSSELS, Nov 13 (Reuters) - The following are proposed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures under review by the European Commission, and a brief guide to the EU merger process:
APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS:
-- Finnish engineering company Metso Power and power systems maker Wartsila Finland acquire joint control of new Finnish company Noviter, a maker of boiler plants (approved Nov.14)
-- France's Accueil Partenaires, belonging to hotel group Accor (ACCP.PA); Caisse des Depots et Consignations, a French insurance, real estate and capital investment firm; and RVHS 1% Logements, controlled by a number of inter-professional committees in France, take joint control of SGRHVS, which supplies lodging accommodations to people of modest income (approved Nov.14)
NEW LISTINGS:
-- Dow Chemical Company (DOW.N), U.S. largest chemical maker, to acquire U.S. specialty chemicals counterpart Rohm & Haas ROH.N. (notified Nov. 10/deadline Dec.15)
-- Dutch insurer Aegon (AEGN.AS) through its Spanish subsidiary Aegon Spanje and Caja Navarra which has credit and fianance operations in Spain, to buy CAN Salud a subsidiary of Caja Navarra which sells non-life insurance products in Spain. (notified Nov.12/deadlineDec.17/simplified)
