SAO PAULO, July 6 (Reuters) - Brazilian automakers association Anfavea raised its estimates for output and sales, in the latest sign that consumer confidence and demand for durable goods are slowly recovering in Latin America's largest economy.

Anfavea said sales are expected to rise 6.4 percent in 2009, compared with a previous forecast of a 3.9 percent decline for the full year. Output will likely shrink 5.2 percent, less than the 11 percent drop forecast previously by the group.
